TMOK, ülkemizde Olimpik
değerlerle bütünleşen bir
toplum yaratma yolunda
sürdürdüğü çalışmalarında,
Olimpik Gün’ü yalnızca bir
kutlama etkinliği olarak değil,
özellikle genç nesiller için
önemli bir eğitim fırsatı olarak
değerlendirmektedir. Bu
çerçevede, her yıl düzenlenmekte
olan Olimpik Gün etkinlikleri
ile genç bir nüfusa sahip olan
Türkiye’de daha fazla çocuğun
ve gencin bir araya getirilerek
sporla tanışması, spor yolu ile
eğitilmesi, sporun coşkusunun
her yaştan insana yaşatılması ve
kişilerin sporun fiziksel ve ruhsal
faydalarından yararlanması
sağlanmaktadır.
Olimpik Gün etkinliklerinde
2014 yılından beri Koç Holding
sponsorluğunda farklı bir
konsept uygulanmaktadır.
Yarıdan fazlasını genç nüfusun
oluşturduğu ülkemizde,
çocuklara ileriye dönük spor
alışkanlığı kazandırmak ve onları
erken yaşta Olimpik değerlerle
buluşturabilmek hedefiyle
genelde 9-12 yaş grubundaki
öğrencileri hedef alan proje,
sporun bir yaşam biçimine
dönüşmesi ve Olimpik ruhun
benimsenmesi için erken yaşta
gerçekleşen bir dokunuştur.

Olympic Day is a global
celebration of the Olympic
Movement which seeks to
promote fitness, well-being,
culture and education through
the three Olympic Day pillars -
move, learn and discover. The
purpose of the Olympic Day is
to spread understanding about
the basic values, principles and
spirit of the Olympism by giving
ordinary people the opportunity
to live and experience an
Olympic event. With principles
like non-discrimination,
sustainability, humanism,
universality, solidarity and
alliance between sport,
education and culture, Olympic
Day presents a great opportunity
to raise ‘Olympic people’. This
is why since 2014 and onwards,
TOC regards the Olympic Day not
only as a day of celebrations but
also as an opportunity for the
education of young generations.
It is a touch to encourage people
at an early age to attain the
Olympic spirit and make sport
their lifestyle choice.
