TMOK’un sponsorları arasında
yer alan P&G Türkiye,
‘Teşekkürler Anne’ kampanyası
ile milli güreşçi Taha Akgül ve
annesi Gülbahar Akgül’e sponsor
oldu. P&G bu çerçevede Taha
Akgül’ün annesini 31. Olimpiyat
Oyunları’nı izlemek üzere Rio’ya
götürdü.

Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Tankut
Turnaoğlu, milli güreşçi Taha
Akgül ve annesi Gülbahar Akgül
katıldı.
Türkiye’de Olimpiyat ruhunun
yaygınlaştırılması, çocukların,
gençlerin ve ailelerinin
spora teşvik edilmesi için
P&G ile uzun soluklu bir iş
birliği yaptıklarını hatırlatan
TMOK Başkanı Prof. Dr. Uğur
Erdener, “Türkiye’de çocukların
yaşamlarını sporla iyileştirmeyi
ve Olimpiyat ruhunu çocuklarla
buluşturmayı hedefliyoruz.
‘Teşekkürler Anne’ kampanyası
ile annelere teşekkür etmenin
yanı sıra bir farkındalık
yaratmak ve spor kültürünün
gelişmesini sağlamak ve
annelerin çocuklarını spora
yönlendirmesinin önemini
de vurgulamak istiyoruz.
Olimpiyat Oyunları’na katılan
sporcular kadar, bu sporcuların
yetişmesine en büyük desteği
veren annelere de teşekkür
ediyoruz” açıklamasında
bulundu.
One of the sponsors of TOC, P&G
also sponsored the national
wrestler Taha Akgül, who was
to compete in Rio 2016 and
hosted the Akgül family in Rio,
within the scope of the “Thank
You, Mom” campaign. Along with
Taha and his Mother Gülbahar
Akgül TOC President and IOC
Executive Board member Prof.
Dr. Uğur Erdener and Chairman
of the Board of P&G Turkey and
Caucasus Tankut Turnaoğlu
were present at the press
conference held at Grand Hyatt
Hotel.
Reminding that they are in a
long term cooperation with
P&G to encourage the children,
youngsters and their families
in doing sports and to spread
the Olympic spirit in Turkey
Prof. Dr. Uğur Erdener said
“We aim to improve the lives
of our children through sports
and adoption of the Olympic
spirit. Besides thanking
mothers with the “Thank you,
Mom” campaign, we want to
emphasize the importance of
mother’s encouragement of the
children towards sports as well
as creating awareness about
developing sports culture. We
thank the athletes participating
at the Olympic Games as well
as mothers who supported and
raised them.”
Tankut Turnaoğlu drew attention
to the fact that “Thank you, Mom”
campaign is one of the most
important projects of P&G, in
its history of 179 years. “P&G
supports the mothers and
their families with exceptional
products in order to make the
lives of moms easier. We are
very happy to accompany Taha
Akgül and his mother in his
journey to the Rio 2016 Olympic
Games. We wish him success
already” said Turnaoğlu
Olympic Moms Project
Olympic Moms is a long term
social responsibility project
aiming to popularize sports
culture and awareness among
all mothers countrywide. The
programme is a civil society
movement established by
Turkish Olympic Committee
(TOC) and Procter & Gamble
(P&G) together with the mothers
valuing sports to encourage
children around Turkey to
play sports. With this project,
TOC and P&G aim to enable
more families to be involved
in sports and contribute to the
propagation of sporting spirit
and Olympism in Turkey. The
main purpose of the ‘Olympic
Moms’ project is to create
awareness and consciousness
in the society through mothers
to encourage children to be
involved in sports. Within the
project; assistance shall be
given to mothers who wish to
orient their children to sports
but in need of guidance as to
which sport, when and how.
Research results show that
only 2 out of 10 children are

“Thank You, Mom” campaign within the context of the ‘Olympic Moms Project’ of Turkish Olympic Committee
(TOC) and Procter & Gamble (P&G) have been launched prior to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. P&G hosted World
and Olympic champion wrestler Taha Akgül and his mother Gülbahar Akgül during the 31
st
Olympiv Games in Rio.
